Trump's executive order targets Dei's efforts in parks, museums and more
President Donald Trump has ordered federal agencies to examine the potential “anti-American '' 'feeling, expressed on American monuments and monuments.
The month of the black history of the White House arrives during the backs of Dei
President Trump organized an event of the month in the history of blacks to the White House while his administration refers the programs of diversity, equity and inclusion.
President Donald Trump ordered federal officials to browse the monuments, monuments and statues to suppress the language which, according to him, can “inappropriately disparage the Americans”, within the framework of his efforts to fight against DEI and promote what he supports is the necessary national patriotism.
Trump and other conservatives have taken what they consider an inappropriate objective of national parks and other historic sites on the history of American slavery, theft of land and discrimination. Trump maintains that such a focus perpetuates “a false reconstruction of American history” and that sites should rather promote American exceptionalism.
Critics argue that efforts like the newly issued executive order of Trump is equivalent to whitening the sometimes tragic history of the United States, and that all Americans deserve to know the complete history. Trump's order reflects similar efforts in Florida, Texas and other states to modify how American history is taught.
In an executive decree Thursday entitled “Restoring truth and mental health”, published Thursday, Trump opposed what he called a concerted effort to minimize American successes and to launch historical stages and the founding principles of the nation “in a negative light.
He ordered the American Department of the Interior and other agencies to examine the Smithsonian exhibitions and the National Park Service sites for what he believes to be anti-American exhibitions and feelings.
As an example, Trump opposed the way in In independence National Historical Park in Philadelphia, the park leaders “pressure” that the Rangers reflecting on how their own racial identity should dictate the way they interpret the park for visitors. He also cited how the National Museum of African-American History and Culture has proclaimed that “hard work”, “individualism” and “nuclear family” are aspects of white culture.
“Museums in the capital of our country should be places where individuals will learn – not to be subjected to ideological indoctrination or to division stories that distort our common history,” said Trump.
The National Museum of African-American History and Culture, which is part of the Smithsonian Institution, currently presents exhibitions focused on the power of black protest, the impact of slavery on communities and historical discrimination confronted with black members of the American army. The museum was created specifically to tell the stories of black Americans and the “without eyeshadow”.
In his order, Trump criticized the museum and other Smithsonian exhibitions as the promotion of “stories that depict American and Western values as intrinsically harmful and oppressive”.
In addition to telling the story of the declaration of independence and its “all men are created for equality”, the National Independence Historical Park also explains how blacks were detained under the Fugitive Slave Act in the same building.
Last year, Shannon Estenoz, who at the time supervised the National Service of the National Park of the Interior Department, told USA Today that she thought it was important that all Americans saw each other and their experiences were reflected in parks and historic sites.
“We must be able to face these stories and interpret them and put them before future generations so that they understand all the chapters of the history of our nation,” she said. “Black history is American history. Amerindian history is American history. All of this is part of the history of our nation.”
Trump also ordered managers to continue the preparations for a national celebration for the 250th anniversary next year.
