Controversy because official leadership leadership of the car
Pekanbaru – Vice-president of the DPRD of Pekanbaru, Muhammad Dikky Suryadi, responded to the controversy of the purchase of official cars for the four leaders of the DPRD Pekanbaru. The politician PDIP stressed that if there were parties who were opposing it, the vehicle was invited to be resumed.

He explained that the purchase of official cars was not their decision, but had been proposed in the APBD of Pekanbaru 2024 before he and other leaders served.
“We don't know anything about the supply process because it's not our time. If you want to know the details, please ask Sekwan directly. Do not cause noise. In my opinion, the affairs of this official car are not very important,” he said.
Dikky added, the purchase of position vehicles for DPRD managers was authorized according to the rules. This is regulated in government regulations (PP) number 1 of 2023 which replaces pp number 18 of 2017 concerning financial rights and the administration of DPRD managers and members.
“In the PP signed by President Joko Widodo at the time, it was declared that the DPRD management had the right to obtain a house position and a vehicle. Now, the city government can only meet these needs,” he said.
He said that the purchase of official cars has not violated the law or the code of ethics. Regarding the appeal of the elected Indonesian president, Prabowo Sui -SUBIANTO, concerning budgetary efficiency, Dikky said that this was not relevant.
“The call for budgetary efficiency was only issued by PP No. 1 of 2025 on January 22, 2025, while the purchase of official cars had been proposed and approved well before,” he said.
Dikky hopes that all parties maintain the situation to remain conducive and do not lead opinions as if the leadership of the DPRD Pekanbaru has no empathy in the midst of the current financial conditions.
