PM-PM-Pakistan imprisoned Imran Khan nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize

Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan was appointed for the second time for the Nobel Peace Prize. He was appointed by members of Pakistan World Alliance (PWA) for his efforts to protect human rights and democracy.

The PWA, a defense group founded last December, announced the appointment of Khan.

“We are pleased to announce on behalf of the Sentrum part who, in alliance with someone with the right to appoint, appointed Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, at the Nobel Peace Prize for his work with Human Rights and Democracy in Pakistan,” said Party Sentrum on X.

On Monday, the Norwegian Political Party Defense Group of the Sentrum part, PWA, revealed the appointment of Khan.

Earlier in 2019, Imran Khan was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for its efforts to resolve tensions with India. He obtained an appointment for a resolution subject to the Pakistani parliament.

The resolution indicated Imran Khan's decision to release the commander of the Indian Air Force Wing, Abhinandan Varthaman.

Abhinandan was retained in captivity in February 2019 when his plane was shot inside the Pakistani territory during the Balakot air strikes. In particular, the situation has intensified between Pakistan and India.

Imran Khan imprisoned for 14 years

The cricket player who has become a politician is also the founder of the Pakistan Pakistan Tehreek-E-insaf party. He has been in prison since August 2023.

Khan was sentenced to 14 years in prison in a case related to corruption and abuse of authority.
