The Wealden North district council planning committee has given requests from Green Light Totwo linked to the redevelopment of the Ashdown House listed from Grade II * to Forest Row.
The former preparatory school, who has the former Prime Minister, as well as the Asactors Charlie Cox and Damien Lewis among his former former, closed in 2020.

Historical England has also said that it considered that residential use of the site is probably the least harmful to the importance of the building listed and most deliverable compared to alternative options.
Heritage objections had also been raised by a number of individuals.

East Sussex Highways had filed an objection on the basis of poor accessibility sites, including accessibility without cars. But the motorways agents had also recommended potential attenuations if the building permit was granted.
