Legal representatives, including lawyer Ali Zafar and Barrister Gohar, were also present outside the prison, although Deema said they were also invited not to defend the family's visit.

Similar scenes took place earlier this month when the sisters were arrested in the same place, briefly detained, then fell away from the site.

The incident has fueled the concerns of PTI supporters on Imran's access to his family's access.
