Islamabad (Dunya News) – Aleema Khan and PTI chief Salman Akram Raja said that the founder of the Imran Khan party was not allowed to meet the family and the lawyers.

Speaking to the media outside the High Court of Islamabad, they said that prison officials authorize visitors who are not anxious to meet Imran Khan.

“There are more than 300 cases against Imran Khan in various courts. The legal team needs its directives, but prison officials do not allow lawyers to meet him,” they said.

Salman Akram Raja said three lawyers for Imran Khan and his Niazullah Niazi spokesperson were not allowed to meet him yesterday.

Aleema Khan stressed that meetings with lawyers are essential for case discussions and legal instructions.

Salman Akram Raja added that lawyer Salman Safdar should approach the Supreme Court for asking permission to meet Imran Khan.

He said that if lawyers are not allowed to respect their client, legal proceedings cannot go ahead.

“We were running from courts to court; We are serious about our brother's affairs, ”said Aleema Khan.

According to Salman Akram Raja, lawyers have remained united throughout the history of Pakistan.

He added that the 26th constitutional amendment has undermined the justice system and that PTI is fighting for judicial independence.
