The flight with the main person responsible for PM Modi on board was diverted due to cracks on the track in Odisha

A flight carrying 178 passengers, including the main secretary of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, PK Mishra, was diverted to Bhubaneswar airport on Friday after the plane could not land in Jharsuguda due to cracks on the track, officials said.
Mr. Mishra, who was about to attend the summons of the IIM SAMBALPUR on Saturday, had embarked on the theft of Delhi-Jharsuguda and was to reach the city of Western Odisha around 3:20 p.m., they said.
“The flight was unable to land the VEER airport will overcome Sai in Jharsuguda, because the airport authorities had made an opinion to the airmen (NOTAM) for cracks on the track,” said an official.

VSS airport director Sandeep K Tiwari said it is normal during the summer while the track's concrete slab develops cracks. This is a two km long track, and the cracks were noticed half an hour before the planned landing of Delhi flight. Therefore, we preferred to divert the flight to the international airport near Biju Patnaik in Bhubaneswar.
He also declared that the same flight had landed at VSS airport with all the passengers, including Mr. Mishra, on board around 7:13 p.m.
“The cracks have been repaired and the flight operations started while the airport authorities withdrew in particular,” he said.
The chief secretary of Odisha, Manoj Ahuja, and the transport secretary, Usha Padhee, rushed to Bhubaneswar airport when Mr. Mishra was waiting there.
Tiwari said there was also an alert from the weather service about landing and flight take -off from Jharguuguda airport.
At least six flights were used daily at Jharsuguda airport, he added.
