Imran is looking for a briefing on the controversial mines bill

The founding president of Pakistan Tehreek-E-insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, described the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mines and Minerals bill as “controversial” and led the Party Legal Committee and the KP management to have it informed the legislation, according to the lawyer for Pti Faisal Chaudhry.

Addressing journalists after meeting the PTI Supremo incarcerated in Adiala prison, Chaudhry said that Imran had raised concerns about the bill and underlined the need to trust the public.

“This bill has now become controversial. It is essential that people are informed of its implications,” he said.

Chaudhry added that Imran had underlined the critical need for the establishment and the PTI to excite Pakistan from the crisis. “The soldiers alone cannot unite the country alone; only political forces can,” he said.

Chaudhry was one of the four lawyers, alongside Usman Riaz Gul, Faisal Malik and Muhammad AFZAL, who were allowed to meet the PTI chief.

He revealed that only two people on the official list of meetings obtained access to the prison, while the others, including the superior lawyers and party leaders, were arrested at the police control points.

He said that legal briefings had been given to the founder of the PTI by Usman Gul and Faisal Malik, in particular on cases that are not linked to the court and on alleged ill -treatment of Bushra Bibi.

Imran also discussed recent political developments and urged the party to write to the chief judge concerning legal concerns after the 26th amendment.

Regarding foreign policy, in particular Afghanistan, the head of the PTI reiterated that his administration had long pleaded for dialogue with the Afghan government to fight terrorism.

Meanwhile, tensions have evolved outside the Adiala prison as the family of the founder of the PTI, including his sisters Aleema Khan, Dr. Uzma Khan and Noreen Khan, were refused a meeting despite hours.
