Chinese chief Xi Jinping expressed his support for Russia, described the chief of Kremlin Vladimir Putin as an ally in the construction of a new world order and confirmed his joint position on the war against Ukraine during his visit to Moscow on May 8.

Details: In a joint statement after discussions, Xi Jinping and Putin declared that the war in Ukraine could only be resolved by removing its “deep causes”. Such a formulation clearly echoes the main Russian propaganda messages used by the Kremlin to justify the launch of the war on a large scale, including the threat of NATO expansion, discrimination against Russian people and the abolition of the Russian language, culture and media in Ukraine.
