The Gaying of America The Patriot Post
It hasn't always been easy being gay in America. On the one hand, there were laws against sodomy. On the other hand, you couldn't openly serve in the military. You also couldn't get a security clearance to serve in government, as it was thought that a foreign enemy could too easily blackmail you into becoming a spy or double agent.
Not so long ago, the psychiatric community classified homosexuality as a psychiatric disorder, a form of madness.
There was also a time when if a boy or a young man showed the least femininity, he could expect to be mocked and intimidated until suicide seemed to be the only way out. The play and film Tea and Sympathy dealt with exactly such a situation.
For many years, Hollywood has treated gay characters with a wink and a nod, making the most obvious gays into butlers and villains, sometimes non-threatening best friends. People like Eric Blore, Edward Everett Horton, Grady Sutton, Billy De Wolf, Charles Nelson Reilly, Alan Sues, Nathan Lane, Michael Jeter and Franklin Pangborn, have built whole careers by playing sissy, as they used to be called.
Some only represented straight people: George Grizzard, James Daly, Tom Hulce, Albert Dekker, William Eythe, Dick Sargent, Robert Reed, Roscoe Lee Browne and George Takei.
Then there were those who might have left you perplexed, but very suspicious, like John Dall, Joel Gray, Kevin Spacey, John Glover, Clifton Webb, Victor Buono and Sal Mineo.
There was even a group that played romantic roles, including Rock Hudson, Van Johnson, Tab Hunter, Richard Chamberlain, Tom Tryon, Keith Andes, Tyrone Power, Caesar Romero and Montgomery Clift.
There was even a TV show, Frasier, on which all of the male actors, as well as the show's creators-producers, were gay, with the exception of Kelsey Grammer. They would be David Hyde Pierce, John Mahoney, Dan Butler and Edward Hibbert.
If you added the British and the lesbian contingents, you could fill out a phone book.
There is no doubt that many homosexuals are talented, just as there is no doubt that many of them have been abused in the past.
The question is why the pendulum has swung so far in the other direction. If a homosexual character appears in a movie or TV series these days, it is certain that he will be described as nicer, more spiritual and more kind than anyone else on the scene.
Having spent decades working in Hollywood, I can assure you that gays are neither better nor worse than the other people I have dealt with. But if it is not worse, they are certainly not better. I have known some who I considered friends, others who were grumpy bastards.
This brings me to the fact that the Boy Scouts of America have just declared bankruptcy because they have been the subject of numerous sexual abuse lawsuits. And if something was inevitable, it was these lawsuits. How could it be otherwise once the BSA has decided to be inclusive and allow homosexuals to be master scouts?
When homosexuals insist that not all homosexuals are pedophiles or pederasts, they are right. But when it comes to child and adolescent molesters, it is the exclusive domain of homosexuals, whether they wear scout uniforms or office collars .
It was the fact that as president of the BSA, Rex Tillerson promoted the idea of opening the doors to gay scout leaders who made me question the President Trumps decision to appoint Tillerson as his secretary of state. And we all saw how well it went.
The other day I received an email from Wesley Forgue: I asked some of my Liberal friends if they agreed that the fact Having gays as scout leaders was a good idea. They all said it was. I then asked them if they would be sending their own sons to camp with a gay scout leader and they all said no.
Well, I answered, like most liberals, your friends are hypocrites. But at least they are real hypocrites.
How much I aspire to the good old days when the very rich made all the headlines while getting drunk and continuing with showgirls. Nowadays, they all seem to want to use their money to reincarnate the Soviet Union in the United States.
Between them, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, George Soros, Charles Koch and Michael Bloomberg, control more than half a trillion dollars. Among their goals are to put this bankrupt country in a pathetic attempt to control the weather; empty the second amendment and confiscate the arms of law-abiding citizens; open the border to an unlimited number of illegal aliens; corrupt the legal system so that it protects criminals and not their potential victims; and to hand over nation control to the bureaucrats at the UN and, of course, to themselves.
Speaking of Michael Bloomberg, his plans to buy the nomination could be thwarted by the number of sound bites that have accumulated over the years. It probably shouldn't be surprising that a man who declared himself Democrat, Republican and independent on various occasions, depending on the political climate of the time, made some of the most embarrassing comments from anyone. is not called Joe Biden. , Elizabeth Warren or Bernie Sanders.
For example, Bloomberg is probably the only person, apart from the despotic Chinese Xi Jinping who never said that Xi Jinping was not a dictator. He has voters.
President Trump has voters. Even Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has voters. Xi Jinping has slaves and prisoners.
Explaining why Bloomberg News never reports anything bad about China, the mini-mayor explained: In China, they have rules. We follow these rules. If you don't follow these rules, you're out of this country.
One might reasonably wonder why a press organization would want to be present in a country where it can only do propaganda.
But I guess in his defense, Bloomberg could say well, CNN did it first.
And that’s what they did. As you may remember, during Desert Storm, CNN explained that they never dared to report the truth about Saddam Husseins' brutal regime, as it would have meant closing their Baghdad office .
They never succeeded in explaining the value of having an office whose sole purpose was to put lipstick on the pig called Saddam Hussein.
Joe Biden apparently decided that as long as he was so unlikely to overtake Bernie Sanders and Michael Bloomberg, he might as well waste his few remaining shreds of dignity in one last effort to win the Latinos by saying: to face to illegal aliens, I think it just took us (him and Obama) too long to get it right. We shouldn't have kicked them out. Without illegal aliens, this nation would collapse. Illegal foreigners are a gift.
Based on my own experience in raising a son, I should not be advising someone else. But it comes to my mind that in the past, when parents wanted to keep the kids away because they were cooking dinner or reading the newspaper, they would plunge them in front of the TV and let them watch cartoons.
These days, the babysitter in most homes is an electronic device that fills their little brains with God knows what's going on. It certainly doesn't make tykes more beautiful, smarter, nicer, funnier or more polite.
This seems to slice and cut their attention span, making them more angry, more envious and either asocial or anti-social.
On the other hand, the worst thing to say about cartoons was that kids might think they could be blown up by TNT and recover in five seconds, be like new, and start chasing after Road Runner.
