President Donald Trump is hosting his last re-election campaign rally in Charlotte, North Carolina on Monday night, here's how and when to log in to watch.
Trump is slated to host his latest 2020 Keep America Great campaign rally at Charlotte's Bojangles Coliseum at 7 p.m. EAST. Local media, including The Charlotte Observer, reported that dozens of excited rally participants had already lined up in tents and camping gear on Monday evening to secure a place inside the Colosseum, which holds around 9,600 people.
Live broadcasts of Monday's rally will be available on Donald Trump Official YouTube channel as well as the Facebook pages for several local stations, including WBTV news from Charlotte.
Trump's rally in North Carolina follows his pattern of organizing campaign events in states where Democrats are about to host major contests – as the North Carolinians will do on March 3 in the part of Super Tuesday. Trump is expected to be joined at the event by several North Carolina Republicans, including Congressman Dan Bishop, for whom the president campaigned last year.
The president was previously in Charlotte in early February for an event called "North Carolina Opportunity Summit". Trump's appearance at Central Piedmont Community College discussed "areas of opportunity" for developers to encourage the construction of run-down neighborhoods in the city.
The rally should officially start at 7 p.m. AND but the doors to the event at the Bojangles Coliseum open at 3 p.m. for the participants.
Trump's main long-term challenge against former Massachusetts Republican governor Bill Weld's GOP is not expected to threaten his candidacy on Tuesday. A survey published this week by High Point University of North Carolina found the president enjoys the support of an overwhelming majority of 89 percent of the republicans registered in the state. The same poll found that 46% of North Carolina voters, regardless of political affiliation, approved of Trump's term in office.
the Charlotte Observer reported Traffic in the city could be blocked on Monday ahead of the rally which thousands of people are expected to attend, in addition to supporters camping outside the site. An enthusiastic supporter of the president waiting outside the Bojangles Coliseum told the newspaper: "You know, there are Democratic candidates who are trying to win their primaries and are trying to get the nomination against Trump, no matter who None of them will beat President Trump, "he said.
