Jakarta Provincial DPRD President Prasetyo Edi Marsudi supports the Marunda Port Project which is being led by PT Karya Citra Nusantara (KCN) to continue. Thus, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) can proceed with the inauguration of the project, which has been delayed.
According to him, the provincial DPRD of Jakarta formed a special committee for the KBN to denounce the alleged big scandal which had stopped the construction of pier 2 at the port of Marunda. As a result, President Jokowi, who was planning to conduct groundbreaking work, was also delayed in February 2017.

Therefore, Pras suggested that the jetty construction project at Marunda be continued while the Jakarta DPRD’s KBN Special Committee also worked to dismantle the alleged 2003-2004 great scandal. In addition, the legal dispute between KBN and KCN has also been resolved up to the level of cassation in the Supreme Court (MA).
Continue (the project), but the main problem should be investigated. Because it is operational, there is development, where the money comes from, it must be discovered. “This is a big commercial investment, namely the ports,” said the DPRD member of the PDI-P faction.
Pras explained that there was a case between KBN and KCN, so the KBN Special Committee was formed at DKI DPRD. According to him, KCN is a subsidiary of a joint venture between KBN and KTU which operates in the ports. Indeed, KBN, as a public company, does not have a port permit.
The winner of this tender is called KTU. Form a KBN and a KTU called KCN. The Managing Director of KCN is the representative of the winner, namely KTU. Suddenly, when he entered the structure, she got stuck. KBN sent people to KCN, but it stalled. This presumption is that there is a big mistake, and it is not money, he explained.
Apart from that, Pras admitted that he was surprised that the words of DKI Governor Anies Baswedan were not heard by KBN. In fact, the provincial government of Jakarta has allocated seats on the board of KBN, but has not yet been appointed to those who have been sent. Because the KBN board of the DKI provincial government has been vacant for almost 3 years.
So far the GMS has never been named, that’s why it’s stagnating there, we want to find that gap. The voice of the governor, Anies Baswedan, was not even heard, sent people but was only inaugurated today, he said.
Therefore, Pras explained why it is necessary to form a special committee for KBN in order to dismantle all allegations of a major scandal in the blocking of the construction of Pier 2 at the port of Marunda. Because according to him, the provincial government DKI which holds the shares there is also disadvantaged by KBN.
KBN loses our shares and he (the investor) pays. Investors / entrepreneurs have good intentions, they don’t use APBN / APBD. Later we will face KBN and KCN. Yesterday we invited Pak Satar Saba (director of KBN), saying it was KTU’s fault. But we’ve heard from KTU and KCN, he pays taxes, pays PBB. Pak Satar, when we called him, never released this statement. We don’t want to be on the right block, on the left block. We have to be in the middle, he said.

Meanwhile, PT KCN Managing Director Widodo Setiadi only hopes that as an investor he needs legal certainty for the continuity of the construction of Pier or Pier 2 at Marunda Port. Even if the legal process has been completed up to the kasari level, but without the support of shareholders, it is also unnecessary.
As an investor, we want to solve this problem quickly. Because 8 years passed between the trial and the issuance of shares. We have gone through the legal process, how can continuity between these shareholders be a synergy. Now, even though the law is over, other shareholders don’t support it, so it can’t work or have a different concept, Widodo said.
Thus, Widodo sees the provincial DPRD of Jakarta forming this special KBN committee to represent the provincial government of Jakarta, considering that it owns one million shares in KBN. Therefore, he hopes that there is a win-win solution for President Jokowi’s revolution to be achieved, which has been delayed.
We hope that what was previously delayed (revolutionary) can be achieved and will also provide legal certainty. It could be a pilot project in the maritime sector, in particular in ports. So as investors we are ready, if we can continue it will be fine. What is important is how the project can be sustainable with government programs, he said.
