President Jokowi: Coronavirus patients must remain anonymous
TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo warns the identity of COVID-19 coronavirus patients should not be revealed and says government guarantees anonymity of those unfortunate enough to be infected by the disease that originated in Wuhan, China.
"I have ordered ministers of state to remind hospitals and government agencies never to reveal private patient information. We must follow the code of ethics and protect the rights of people with coronavirus, "said the president. "(Their identities) should not be made public."
