Jakartas Paloma Bistro confirms visit of Indonesian and Japanese patients COVID-19 in February – City
The management of the Hotel Des Indes in central Jakarta has confirmed that an Indonesian patient who tested positive for a coronavirus had visited the Paloma Bistro of the hotel last month, where she would have met a Japanese woman who was later diagnosed with COVID-19 in Malaysia.
Darmawiharto, the hotel manager, said on Tuesday that the 31-year-old woman, also known as Case 1, and the Japanese citizen were not staying at the hotel, but that they had come to the Paloma Bistro on February 15 around 8 a.m. afternoon to attend a regularly organized "Latin dance" event.
He added that around 30 people joined the event that night.

The Japanese woman, 41, was the 24th coronaviral patient in Malaysia who, according to the Malaysian Ministry of Health, tested positive for COVID-19 on February 27 after traveling from Japan in January and to Indonesia in early February.
Case 1 and his 64-year-old mother, known as Case 2, had been in contact with the Japanese citizen before the two Indonesians tested positive for the coronavirus, President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo said on Monday.

The two patients are currently in an isolation room at the Sulianti Saroso Infectious Disease Hospital (RSPI Sulianti Suroso) in Jakarta.
On February 14, Case 1 and the Japanese woman were also said to have visited the Amigos bar and canteen in Kemang, south of Jakarta, where the two danced together, according to reports by Health Minister Terawan Agus Putranto.
Darmawiharto went on to say that three staff from the Hotel Des Indes who were on duty at the Paloma Bistro at the time the event took place have all passed the coronavirus incubation period of 14 days and also participated in medical checks supervised by health authorities.
