Ministry Postpones Trade Expo Indonesia 2020 Due To Fears Of COVID-19

Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Ministry of Commerce has decided to postpone the Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) 2020, scheduled for September, to stem the continued transmission of COVID-19.
“In accordance with President Joko Widodo’s order to apply government policy to stop the spread of COVID-19, the Ministry of Commerce will postpone the implementation of the 35th TEI in 2020,” Commerce Minister Agus said on Monday. Suparmanto in a press release.
The 35th TEI is organized in cooperation with the event organizing company PT Debindomulti Adhiswasti. It was previously scheduled to take place from September 30 to October 4 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD in Tangerang, Banten.
The 35th TEI will present a plethora of national products. In addition to the exhibition, the organizer will organize the Trade, Tourism and Investment Forum (TTI); regional discussion; talk show; business twinning; integrated business forum; and several other commercial events.
Suparmanto noted that the decision to postpone the exposure is also part of efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19 and protect public health.
