Saudi Arabia and Pakistan discuss ways to strengthen defense cooperation
RIYADH: Cabinet on Tuesday called on the international community to ensure the protection of the Palestinian people from Israeli atrocities.
The weekly session, chaired by King Salman in Riyadh, stressed the need for Israel to abide by international laws and implement the relevant international resolutions.
Reiterating Saudi Arabia's support for the Palestinian cause, the Cabinet demanded that Israeli forces be held accountable for their actions against the Palestinians.
Cabinet noted that the Kingdom was hosting the Second International Humanitarian Forum in Riyadh, which highlighted the Kingdom's pioneering role in providing relief to people affected by wars and disasters around the world.
The ministers expressed the Kingdom's desire to establish international peace and security through programs and initiatives supported by the United Nations and the international community.
After the meeting, the acting media minister, Dr. Essam bin Saad bin Saeed, told SPA that the Cabinet had also discussed the Kingdom's investment in the development of new technologies for clean energy solutions.
The ministers also discussed measures taken to protect the health of pilgrims, tourists and the citizens and residents of Umrah.
Cabinet commended the efforts of the Ministry of Health, in cooperation with the Ministry of the Interior, the General Civil Aviation Authority and other government agencies, to combat against the virus.

Ministers stressed the need for cooperation among Arab countries to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. They also called for adhering to the World Health Organization's measures to combat the virus.
King Salman also informed the cabinet of the meetings he held in Riyadh last week with the President of Mauritania Mohamed Ould Ghazouani and the Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
The Cabinet also appreciated last week's royal decrees which called for the merger and creation of various ministries. The ministers stressed that this decision was part of the reform and changes aimed at developing the Kingdom in accordance with Vision 2030 and meeting the aspirations of the people.
