Jokowi loves 600 million rupees for millions of poor citizens against Corona
Jakarta, CNN Indonesia – Government will provide Rs 600,000 a month in direct financial assistance (BLT) in millions of poor families affected by the plague corona virus. Finance Minister Sri Mulyani said this after attending a limited meeting with President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) Tuesday (7/4).
“So the beneficiaries of BLT are outside the beneficiaries of PKH and BPNT social assistance or basic food cards,” said Sri Mulyani.
Sri Mulyani said assistance has been provided to at least 2.5 million residents or 1.2 million families at DKI Jakarta. Assistance will be provided for three months in the form of nine basic necessities worth Rs 600,000 per month.
In addition, the government has also provided food parcels to 1.6 million residents or 576,000 families in the Bogor-Depok-Tangerang-Bekasi (Bodetabek) region.
Outside Jabodetabek, the government will provide direct cash assistance (BLT) for the next two to three months. However, millions of recipient data are still reviewed by the Ministry of Social Affairs (Ministry of Social Affairs).
“The data will be deleted later, it is proposed that the BLT could be 600,000 rupees. Now the (donation) period is again estimated at 2 or 3 months. The president asked me to calculate”, a he declared.
