Trump Apparently Confuses Parody Twitter Account For One Given By His Sister American News

Donald Trump has apparently confused a parody Twitter account with an account run by his own reclusive and secretive older sister and thanked her for backing up his baseless claims that he won the 2020 presidential election.

The president, who has previously misidentified other Twitter accounts, retweeted an article from conservative media personality Wayne Dupree, who also assumed the account, called @thebettytrump, was in fact owned by Elizabeth Trump Grau.

Thanks Elizabeth! LOVE! Trump tweeted in response to Duprees ‘post praising @thebettytrumps’ stance by posting a long series of tweets praising Trump and his efforts to reverse the legitimate election result that saw Joe Biden win resoundingly in both the popular vote and the electoral college.

The problem was, the account did not belong to sister Trump, who kept a very low public profile during her brothers’ tumultuous presidency.

Vice News managed to track down and interview Trump Grau and she told their reporter: I don’t even belong to Twitter.

She added for good measure: I have no statement. I’m just annoyed by it all.

Absolute confirmation that the account was a hoax finally came from @thebettytrump himself, who, as the fury spread across social media, finally came out clear and admitted his guilt by pulling a prank.

The statement read: I would have made it clear earlier that I was a travesty, but I certainly didn’t expect President Trump himself to take notice of the account. Don’t blame @WayneDupreeShow … it’s mine for not clarifying that. I hope you will forgive me – feel bad for causing confusion. LOVE!
