MAKI sues Perpok Jokowi about Corona in front of MK
TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – The Indonesian Anti-Corruption Society (MAKI) pursues government regulations to replace Law (Perppu) No. 1 of 2020 on the management of the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia, signed by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi ) and entered into force on March 31.

In his petition, MAKI coordinator Boyamin Saiman said that his party had requested the cancellation of article 27 of the Perppu, which was linked to the immunity of civil servants from civil and criminal requirements during the application of rules.
According to him, President Jokowi used his authority in the form of the publication of Perppu 1 in 2020 and will use the state budget of 405 trillion rupees.
He explained the reason for the judicial review because his party considered article 27 of Perppu 1/2020 as a superbody article and granted civil servants immunity from being prosecuted or corrected by a judicial institution.
“Therefore, article 27 of Perppu number 1 of 2020 clearly contradicts the 1945 Constitution which stipulates that Indonesia is the rule of law so that all government operations are tested or controlled by law, both criminal and civil and administrative administrative, “said Boyamin in his press release to Tribunnews.com, Friday (04/10/2020).
