Dividing food packages is the message of being Jokowi
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – President Joko Widodo apparently wanted to convey a special message through his method which was distributed directly staple food to the community.
Presidential spokesperson for social affairs, Angkie Yudistia, said, through the distribution of roadside groceries, Jokowi want to convey a message of solidarity and mutual cooperation in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.
“President Joko Widodo wants to convince all of us that this pandemic can be overcome with a spirit of unity and mutual cooperation between us,” said Angkie in a statement on Saturday (04/11/2020).

“What the president shares with citizens is a message to continue to unite to spread kindness in the current emergency response situation,” he said.
Angkie also mentioned that Jokowi’s step in distributing groceries was a form of concern for residents who mainly live in the Jakarta area.
Because, DKI Jakarta has imposed large-scale social restrictions (PSBB).
The application of PSBB is in accordance with the authorization of the central government through the Ministry of Health to reduce the level of spread of the corona virus.
