ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi said on Wednesday that unlike Indian belligerence, Pakistan has always stood for peace in the region, ARY News reported.
Addressing an international conference entitled "Global Strategic Threat and Response" in Islamabad, President Alvi said that Pakistan understands the value of peace.
Expressing deep cancers following the ongoing massacre of religious minorities in India, the president said that innocent Muslims were martyred in occupied Kashmir and all over India.
On this occasion, he expressed disappointment at the silence of the international community on the serious human rights violations in occupied Kashmir and India.

Earlier on January 28, President Arif Alvi had reaffirmed the Pakistans' commitment to peace and stability in the region to address multiple challenges, including those of poverty and ignorance.
He was speaking at a ceremony after being sworn in as a scout leader in Islamabad.
The President regretted that a conflict and problems were imposed on Pakistan from the Indian side. He stressed that Prime Minister Imran Khan had done everything possible to talk about peace with India in order to avoid any conflict. However, he said that the other party was also required to comply with our peace gestures.
