ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Wednesday that the government was establishing special economic zones (SEZs) to provide maximum facilities to investors in the country, ARY News reported.
Chairing a high-level meeting in Islamabad, Prime Minister Imran said that the government led by the PTI was committed to ensuring a business-friendly environment across the country.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Imran ordered to provide power transmission facilities to the power of KEPTO and to relax regulations on wheels (sale and purchase). The Prime Minister also ordered to relax regulations for the creation of new industries.
The meeting approved the creation of special economic zones across the country.
13 SEZs have been notified to date, while work on 18 new areas is underway, the meeting said.

Last year, on October 23, Prime Minister Imran Khan ordered that the creation of Special Economic Zones (SEZ) on the war footing be completed.
