KARACHI: Sindh government on Wednesday rejected reports that Pakistan Super League (PSL 5) season 5 matches from Karachi would be transferred from Karachi to other sites amid fears of coronavirus, reported ARY News.
According to details, contact was established between the provincial government and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) during which it was decided to organize the remaining PSL 5 matches in Karachi according to the schedule.
Sources said that the Sindh government had prepared a strategy for the protection of cricket fans attending PSL 5 games at National Stadium Karachi against the new coronavirus.
The government has advised people who recently came from Iran and feel sick to avoid visiting the Karachi National Stadium.
Meanwhile, it has been decided to install screening machines at the front doors of the national stadium, while the medical teams will perform tasks with the police officers at the 12 front doors and leaving the stadium.

In addition, the provincial government has ordered spectators to take precautionary measures and to enjoy PSL 5 games at the stadium without fear.
It should be noted that Karachi will host the remaining PSL 5 matches from 12 to 10 March. The Sindh government has so far confirmed two cases of coronavirus in Karachi and the two are recovering quickly.
