Center asked to solve problem with three Karachi hospitals, says Murad – Newspaper

KARACHI: Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said on Thursday that he addressed the issues of three Karachi hospitals JPMC, NICVD and NICH at the Common Interests Council (CCI) meeting and the prime minister led his assistant special on health to solve the problem because the provincial government manages them properly.

He spoke to reporters after inaugurating three roads in the Landhi industrial zone.

Responding to a question, the chief minister said he raised two important issues during the ICC meeting held in Islamabad under Prime Minister Imran Khan on April 7. The first and main problem concerned three hospitals in Karachi: JPMC, NICVD and NICH.

I told the premier that the provincial government is managing them properly so he should be allowed to have their control, he said and added that the prime minister recognized this and said the hospitals had been taken over by order of the Supreme Court.

I told the prime minister that the Supreme Court in its judgment gave a way to run the hospitals by the provincial government, the chief minister said and added that different notifications were issued which seriously affected the performance of the hospitals.

He said the prime minister, taking into account the smooth running of hospitals, had passed on his directive to his special assistant, Dr Faisal Sultan, to resolve the issue.

Reservations on the results of the census expressed during the ICC meeting

Murad Ali Shah said he also raised the issue of the census at the ICC. I told the Prime Minister that all four provinces had reservations about the census results, and it was agreed that five percent of the census blocks would be verified, but that has not yet happened, he said. he said and added that the federal government should announce the census. again to resolve the issues.

Equitable distribution of water

Mr Shah said that another issue he raised at the ICC meeting was that of equitable water distribution for which a committee was formed under the authority of the Attorney General of Pakistan.

The report was submitted last year, but it still has not been filed with the ICC, he said and added that he had asked the prime minister to order the relevant authorities to present the report. during the meeting so that a decision can be made accordingly.

The CM said that without the approval of the census, the elections of local bodies could not take place, therefore the federal government would have to make certain decisions accordingly.

Responding to a question about Jahangir Tareens’ possible entry into the PPP, he said it would be premature to comment on the matter. I saw Jahangir Tareen’s statement in the media that he wants respect in his party [PTI] which appears to be a futile exercise, he added.

In response to a question, Murad Ali Shah said that the Commissioner of Karachi was a reputed senior officer in grade BS-21. I will not comment on the remarks the Supreme Court made against the Commissioner of Karachi, he said and added that the Prime Minister is ordering officers to speed up approvals of new buildings so that the construction industry can thrive.

Commissioner Karachi is a BS-21 grade DMG / PAS federal government officer and could have followed the prime minister’s instructions, he added.

Mr Shah said his government was facing a shortage of BS-21 grade officers. Against the quota of 16 BS-21 officers, only five officers were working, he added.

Earlier, the chief minister along with provincial ministers and board members of the Landhi Trade and Industry Association unveiled a plaque to inaugurate three roads built in the Landhi industrial zone.

These three roads include Route 8000 to Landhi Industrial Zone via Future Mor, Dawood Chowrangi Road to Younis Textile, Landhi and General Tire Road, Mehran Road to Landhi Industrial Zone at a cost of 530,579 million rupees.

The CM said it had given 2.5 billion rupees to six industrial zones in Karachi as a subsidy for the construction of roads in their respective zones. They took a long time but built the roads correctly, he concluded.
