Donald Trump Appoints Mark Meadows as New White House Chief of Staff | US news
Donald Trump has appointed Congressman Mark Meadows as his new chief of staff, replacing Mick Mulvaney, who has been playing this role for over a year.
Trump announced the staff reshuffle in the Friday evening tweets, saying that Mulvaney would become the U.S. Special Envoy for Northern Ireland.
I have known and worked with Mark for a long time, and the relationship is very good, Trump said.
This long-standing decision makes Meadows, who announced he does not wish to be re-elected for his seat in the North Carolina House of Commons, in fact prevail over the fourth chief of staff since when he took office in 2017.
