Noida (Uttar Pradesh) (India), March 8 (ANI): para-athlete Suvarna Raj said #She Inspires Us campaign launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi would bring out more role models in society for women to achieve new exploits.
She said the efforts of the Modi government for divyangjans play a role in their empowerment.
"Efforts have been made for accessibility, education and employment. Thanks to the She Inspires Us campaign, people will hear more stories of successful women and there are will have more role models in our society, "Suvarna Raj told ANI.
She was diagnosed with polio at the age of two.
"When a girl has polio, especially in rural areas, she is forced to sit at home because schools and colleges are not accessible," she said and added that the government had taken initiatives to access quality education.
Since the launch of the #She Inspires Us campaign on Thursday, the campaign has received a lot of support. Ordinary people and political leaders like Interior Minister Amit Shah, Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and Minister of Railways Piyush Goyal tweeted under the hashtag #SheInspiresUS.
