This week we will see something rarely seen in Australian sport: the kickoff of the NRL season, and a few channels later, the Australian men's cricket team playing an ODI series at home against New Zealand.
This is certainly not an ideal scenario, but given that the Australian team had to travel to India to complete a contractually required ODI series, its best was going to be.
