CWG 2022, IND vs SA, Men’s Hockey Semifinal Highlights: India defeated South Africa 3-2 on Saturday to reach the Commonwealth Games hockey final. After a goalless first quarter, India scored twice in the second quarter. Abhishek opened the scoring before Mandeep Singh made it 2-0 on a fine solo goal. Ryan Julius got South Africa back into the game after a rebound from the penalty. India restored their two-goal lead in the fourth quarter before South Africa pulled another one to stir up some commotion in the Indian dugout. India has so far gone unbeaten in the tournament, recording three wins and a draw. South Africa, on the other hand, recorded two wins and a draw and a loss. Under the current scenario, Manpreet Singh’s leading group will be overwhelming favorites against number 13 in the world, South Africa. India finished at the top of Pool B, while South Africa finished their group stage campaign in second place. The winner of the semi-final will face the winner of the other semi-final, which will be played between Australia and England.
