English bowler James Anderson says he “doesn’t feel old or slow down” as he prepares for his first test match as a 40-year-old.
Anderson turned 40 late last month and is expected to make his 173rd test appearance in Wednesday’s first test against South Africa at Lord’s.
He took 17 wickets in three Tests against New Zealand and India earlier this summer at an average of 18.29.
“It’s just a number next to the name, it’s not how I feel,” Anderson said.
“I don’t feel old or slow down. I don’t have any personal goals, I just want to keep enjoying my cricket.
“During the tests earlier in the summer, I felt really empowered by the way we were asked to bowl as a bowling group. It was a change of mindset. I loved its aggressive nature and I’m looking forward to being a part of it.” from the.”
Anderson was also concerned about England’s aggressive approach under new coach Brendon McCullum, after South African captain Dean Elgar questioned whether it was long-lasting and could embarrass them.
“I don’t think it needs to come off at all,” said the Lancashire bowler. “If we keep working harder at what we’re doing, we now know we have the ability to go after everything.
“If we keep playing that entertaining mentality, but also be smart about it — so in those periods where we can’t go to hell for bat leather, we’ll take a little pressure and be smart about when we put pressure back on.” the opposition.”

View photos The advantages of comparing online car insurance quotes are the following: Online quotes can be obtained from anywhere and at any time. Unlike physical insurance agencies, websites don't have a specific schedule and they are available at any time. Drivers that have busy working schedules, can compare quotes from anywhere and at any time, even at midnight. Multiple choices. Almost all insurance providers, no matter if they are well-known brands or just local insurers, have an online presence. Online quotes will allow policyholders the chance to discover multiple insurance companies and check their prices. Drivers are no longer required to get quotes from just a few known insurance companies. Also, local and regional insurers can provide lower insurance rates for the same services. Accurate insurance estimates. Online quotes can only be accurate if the customers provide accurate and real info about their car models and driving history. Lying about past driving incidents can make the price estimates to be lower, but when dealing with an insurance company lying to them is useless. Usually, insurance companies will do research about a potential customer before granting him coverage. Online quotes can be sorted easily. Although drivers are recommended to not choose a policy just based on its price, drivers can easily sort quotes by insurance price.
