ORCHARD PARK, NY The Tennessee Titans (0-1) try to score their first win of the season against the Buffalo Bills (1-0) on Monday Night Football at Highmark Stadium (6:15 PM, ESPN).

The Bills are coming off a strong opener, as they beat the defending Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams down the road.

REPORTTennessee Titans Numbers vs. Buffalo Bills: F from a Monday Night Football Performance
FINAL: Bills 41, Titans 7.
The Titans played against one of the top three teams in the NFL tonight and they were uncompetitive. The best news is that only one team in the AFC South wins after two weeks.
Tennessee is 0-2. Postgame is coming. Then the Raiders (0-2) on Sunday.
6:42 am about: The worst loss, point difference, in the Mike Vrabel era was a 2018 loss to the Indianapolis Colts, a 38-10 loss. Tonight’s deficit would top that.
10:44 left: Malik Willis fiddles with a reading option holder after bumping into Chig Okonkwo. Recover bills.
14:39 about: Amani Hooker muffles a punt, but Tre Avery recovers. A long night for all three facets.
Case Keenum was in the game for the Bills. Usually backups all around for both teams.
26 seconds left: Malik Willis is in the game at quarterback. Ryan Tannehill was 11-of-20 tonight for 117 yards and two interceptions.
Willis had a nice scramble and a short pass to Robert Woods for his first NFL completion, but Tennessee will kick.
3:49 about: Ryan Tannehill doesn’t see Bill’s linebacker Matt Milano on a short cut, and Milano intercepts Tannehill and runs back for a TD. Ugly, ugly game in an ugly game for the Titans.
Bills 41, Titans 7.
5:34 left: Touch, Buffalo. Stefon Diggs 24-yard touchdown catch on a ramp working against Chris Jackson.
Bills 34, Titans 7.
5:38 left: The bills are in the Titans’ 20.
6:43 about: Ryan Tannehill’s pass aimed at Robert Woods is reversed and intercepted by Jordan Poyer.
7:36 left: Tyler Bass’ 37-yard field goal try is good. Bills 27, Titans 7.
Good job by the Titans defense getting a three-and-out after the turnover, but it’s a long way to a comeback right now.
8:22 left: Kyle Philips’ second muted run in two NFL games results in Bills recovery. Buffalo has the ball at the Titans’ 20.
8:33 left: A delay of the game penalty on the Bills in 4th place near midfield will result in a Buffalo point.
9:27 am about: This is going to be bad for the Titans. Ryan Tannehill gets hit while throwing in third, and it’s incomplete. One more point.
10:18 left: Stefon Diggs, touchdown bills. 46-yard catch against Tre Avery. Good throw from Josh Allen. Bad cover and a bad defensive matchup.
Bills 24, Titans 7.
12:04 pm about: Jamison Crowder across the middle for a first down. That was not a good third ground defense. Crowder was wide open.
12:37 about: Denico Autry fires Josh Allen first, the Titans first sack of the night.
12:53 left: Ryan Tannehill tries to force a throw to Nick Westbrook-Ikhine in third, but it’s incomplete. Titans will punt.
Officials missed a late hit by Micah Hyde on NWI when the ball fell incomplete, but no flag.
3:00 PM still: Titans get the ball to start the second half, and it’s a drive they need to score to close this gap. Only 15 total yards in the first half after the 75-yard touchdown drive to start the game.
- Total number of yards: Bills 234, Titans 90.
- Ryan Tanhill: 9-12, 88 meters
- Dirk Hendrik: 8 carries, 12 yards, TD
- Treylon Burks: 4 catches, 47 yards on five goals
- Josh Allen: 18-23, 208 yards and two TDs
- Stefan Diggs: 7 catches, 65 yards, TD
PEACE: The first half ends with a Greg Rousseau sack of Ryan Tannehill.
Bills 17, Titans 7.
58 seconds left: Treylon Burks kicks off the last Titans drive of the first half with a first catch for 12 yards.
Dane Jackson on the line. A tough watch on repeat. Friendly fire as Jackson’s head bends back as Tremaine Edmunds flies in to hit Burks. Here comes a cart.
SCARY INJURIESBuffalo Bills’ Dane Jackson gets a scary blow to the head; ambulance drives him off the field vs. Tennessee Titans
1:00 past: A replay isn’t kind to Caleb Farley on Diggs’ touchdown. In what looks like man cover, Farley stares at Josh Allen on one side of the end zone, while Diggs catches the TD on the other side of the end zone.
Josh Allen 4th down TD pass to Stefon Diggs puts Bills with two scores before halftime
1:10 about: Bills has another 4th and 1. Jeffery Simmons jumps late into the game clock on a hard count, but the Bills had called timeout. Interesting.
The Bills go for it after timeout and Josh Allen tosses from one hash to another for a wide open Stefon Diggs in the end zone. Touch down accounts. Extra point good.
Bills 17, Titans 7.
1:54 left: Amani Hooker nearly intercepts Josh Allen in the end zone. It was close. But there is no rating.
Two minute warning: Stefon Diggs’ sixth catch is on a receiver screen for the Titans’ 4.
2:55 left: Stefon Diggs for 16 yards over center. Josh Allen finds open receivers everywhere.
3:45 to: Jake Kumerow for 40 yards on a streak down the left sideline against Caleb Farley. Driving bills.
4:48 about: Tea pie TFL.
6:36 about: Von Miller TFL on a Derrick Henry toss sweep left. Geoff Swaim vs. Von Miller is not the blocking matchup you’d like.
Ryan Tannehill throws the checkdown in third and the Titans will kick.
7:25 am about: Josh Allen briefly jumps to an open Jake Kumerow on 3rd and 1. Bills go down again on 4th.
Bill’s offensive lineman reached out and touched Naquan Jones as he flinched at the hard count, but he wasn’t in the neutral zone. False start, Bills. Here comes a field goal.
Tyler Bass is good from 49 yards. Bills 10, Titans 7.
Still, the Bills’ third- and fourth-place battles continue to plague them against the Titans. Courtesy of the Tennessee defense.
8:33 left: David Long called for illegal contact. Second Titans penalty resulting in a Bills first down on this disc.
9:40 am about: Josh Allen finds Isaiah McKenzie 28 yards over center. Bills back in the area of Titans.
10:56 left: The Ben Jones face mask penalty stops the Titans ride, and here’s Ryan Stonehouse getting close to midfield.
12:05 pm about: Ben Jones called for a facemask penalty on a Robert Woods screen that would have been a 15-yard gain. Not good.
13:26 left: 3rd and 15th is no problem for Treylon Burks, who uses blockers after catching a ball on an intersecting route to convert first down to Bills area. The Bills defense is still struggling to stop this Titans attack.
3:00 PM still: Tremaine Edmunds fires Ryan Tannehill on a free blitz.
32 seconds left: Ryan Tannehill sneaks down for a first. Titan’s run game is looking much better tonight.
1:18 left: Bills turnover on downs after Kevin Byard blitzed a Josh Allen read option play on the fourth down. Those kinds of stops have helped the Titans win these kinds of games in the past. Titans get the ball on their own 30.
3:17 left: Stefon Diggs can’t get two feet down on a third backward shoulder throw, but Tre Avery is flagged for pass interference. That’s not the matchup you want for the Titans.
4:52 left: Stefon Diggs for 15. He has found a lot of space on the outside so far.
Derrick Henry closes impressive Titan’s first stage with TD run on 4th down
5:23 left: Touch, Titans! Derrick Henry scores on a two meter run. Not quite sure why Buffalo had four linemen on the 4th and short against Derrick Henry, but alas.
Titans 7, Bills 7.
5:43 left: Nick Westbrook-Ikhine with a third down catch just below the line to win. 4th and 1st at the Bills’ 2.
But wait a minute. Sean McDermott is going to challenge the catch of NWI.
The verdict on the field stands. Good thong from Westbrook-Ikhine. Titans go for it in 4th place.
6:44 am about: Austin Hooper, hello. His 18-yard catch moves the Titans inside the Bills’ 15. Next game: Jordan Poyer nearly intercepts Ryan Tannehill.
7:54 left: Treylon Burks has two catches, including a 14-yard catch on the Titans’ first play from scrimmage.
Greg Rousseau called for the passerby to rough up on a very late hit at Tannehill, and the Titans drive.
Taylor Lewan left the game after Burks’ first catch and was helped very slowly with a lower body injury. Dennis Daley in on left tackle.
Bills, Josh Allen with dominant touchdown drive to open game
9:07 about: Bills fullback Reggie Gilliam breaks a tackle from Zach Cunningham on a fast screen and slams into the end zone for a touchdown. Mike Vrabel didn’t look happy. Extra point good. That looked like the fourth quarter of the Giants-game again, but with a better attack on the other side of the ball. Bills 7, Titans 0.
9:48 am about: Dawson Knox wide open across center for a Bills first down inside the Titans’ 15.
10:32 left: Josh Allen finds open receivers. Driving bills.
12:26 about: Josh Allen scrambles away from Bud Dupree and Jeffery Simmons, leaps over Roger McCreary for a first fall. Wow.
12:47 pm about: Mitch Morse, the Bills center, is on one knee after a play. He runs away under his own power.
14:09 about: Devin Singletary runs for 16 yards on his first carry against an 8-man Titans box.
3:00 PM still: Titans win the toss and postpone it until the second half. Invoices will be received. Josh Allen up first.
Trenton Cannon injured himself on the opening kick, resulting in a touchback, and is out for a few moments. He is helped to the sidelines by the Titans medical staff.
It will be a windy environment in Orchard Park for the Titans and Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football.
Couple of inactive notes: Kristian Fulton and Dontrell Hilliard, as noted by Mike Vrabel on Saturday, are out for Monday’s game. Kyle Philips is active and will play, as will recent squad-activated receiver Josh Gordon. Bills receiver Gabe Davis and defensive lineman Ed Oliver are both out.
Kick-off is scheduled for 6:15 p.m. CT. We have all the game updates here.
