The ICC asked Australian cricketers what was the worst gift they could give Steve Smith, and they almost all responded in the same way, which related to his batting.

“Tell him practice is canceled or he can’t bat,” said Australia captain Pat Cummins.
“I feel like it’s going to be said a lot, not hitting for a week,” revealed all-rounder Mitchell Marsh.
“Get him something from Kmart,” Labuschagne said when Usman Khawaja answered the worst gift question.
“No hitting for a day,” Matthew Renshaw observed.
“You’re probably right, if he wasn’t allowed to hit balls today, he’d have a bad birthday,” Starc agreed with his teammates.
“Probably a day off for cricket practice,” Scott Boland said.
Khawaja, meanwhile, said that Marnus was the best gift one could give to Steve Smith, to whom Labuschagne was heard saying, “Me on tour.”
When Smith was asked the same question, he said, “Probably, Marnus, he’ll give me something stupid, I think.”
Smith will hold the key for Australia when they take on India in the highly anticipated final of the World Test Championship in London on June 7.
This will be Australia’s first appearance in a WTC final. They had missed the opportunity in the previous cycle due to a delay rate.
Meanwhile, India will compete in their second World Cup final. Under the management of Virat Kohli, they lost to New Zealand in the 2021 final. Rohit Sharma will now lead India.
