Womens Tennis Signs Knoxville Prospect Margaret Manolache to roster 2023-24
CHATTANOOGA — With its third addition of the summer offseason, the Chattanooga Mocs tennis team and head coach Chad Camper have signed Knoxville scholastic prospect Margaret Manolache to the 2023-24 roster, the program announced Wednesday afternoon.
Manolache joins Ball State transfer Emma Peeler and Italian scholastic prospect Emma Pedretti as the latest signatories to the program in recent weeks.
“Margaret is a fighter on the field and has been coached very well in the Knoxville area,” said coach Camper. “She’s one of those players who was made for college tennis.”
Manolache was selected to compete in the United States Tennis Association’s Billie Jean King Girls’ 16s and 18s National Championships held in August 2022 in San Diego, California. In addition, she was a Tennessee State qualifier at the 14s and 16s levels and earned sportsmanship honors at a pair of 16s events.
A three-star recruit according to Tennis Recruiting Network, Manolache is the No. 3 prospect in the state of Tennessee and No. 57 in the Southeast, as well as No. 222 nationally. She peaked at number 198 nationally during the 2023 calendar year on March 15.
