Hockey Alumni Launch Kahlau Memorial Fund
Fredonia State hockey alumni who participated in the inaugural Tanner Kahlau Memorial Fund golf tournament gather for a group photo.
Fredonia State hockey alumni held a successful golf tournament to benefit the Tanner Kahlau Memorial Fund, established through the Fredonia College Foundation, in honor of former Blue Devil hockey player Tanner Kahlau, who died in January 2021 while on the Fredonia State hockey team.
More than 30 hockey alumni were among the 36 foursomes who took part in the tournament that raised $11.1990 for the fund. The tournament was held July 8 at the Blue Ridge Trail Golf Club in Mr. Kahlau’s hometown of Mountain Top, Pennsylvania. All proceeds go to the fund for the benefit of the Blue Devil hockey program.
Tyler Riter and Kahlau’s Max Blitz teammates played a key role in creating the fundraiser that will become an annual event.
