Asian festival happening this weekend in Columbus
The two-day event features art demonstrations, Tai Chi martial arts workshops, entertainment, vendors and food.
COLUMBUS, Ohio More than 100,000 visitors are expected to visit Franklin Park this weekend for the Asian Festival.
The free two-day event features art demonstrations, Tai Chi martial arts workshops, entertainment, vendors and food. The organizers of the Asian Festival want to promote the importance of cultural diversity in building a vibrant, prosperous and healthy community.
The event usually includes the Dragon Boat Race and the table tennis tournament.
The Asian Festival takes place on Saturday from 10am to 8pm and on Sunday from 10am to 6pm. You can view the event schedule here. Events take place on the Amphitheater Stage, Adventure Center Stage, Community Square Stage and Marketplace Stage.
Guests wishing to attend the Asian Festival can park for free at Wolfe Park, St. Charles High School, East High School, OSU Medical East and Care Point East. There is a free shuttle service one hour before and one hour after the festival.
