Man sets his 171st world record with shaving cream and table tennis balls
Etching their names into the record books is a dream come true for many, and for the majority it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. However, there are others who live to set new records. David Rush, an American man, is one such person, whose aim in life is to set goals new recordsand has broken more than 300 Guinness World Records to date.
Serial record breaker
Rush is so obsessed with breaking records that Guinness World Records described him as a “serial record breaker.” He recently achieved his 171st simultaneously held Guinness World Record. Rush has set a new one Guinness World Record by catching bouncing table tennis balls with his head covered in shaving cream.

Rush, who previously broke the record for most people table tennis balls bounced and caught in shaving cream on the head in 30 seconds (team of two) multiple times, took over the individual version of the same record. Rush ultimately caught 14 balls, tying the record previously set by Californian Ronald Sarchian in May 2023. The two men are now co-holders of the record.
Record for most records
According to Rush, the Guinness World Records rules for the title required him to bounce the table tennis balls off a wall and catch them in the shaving cream on his head.
With another Guinness World Record to his name, Rush is in no mood to slow down and sets his sights on another. His ultimate goal is to set the world record for most records held simultaneously, which currently stands at 181.

Rush, who earned an electrical engineering degree from MIT and an MBA from Boise State University, said he started setting Guinness World Records to promote STEM education and embraces the power of a growth mindset.
