World famous rapper Drake has hit the headlines after winning over 200,000 (approximately 2.1 crore) on a huge bet on the T20 World Cup. The 37-year-old took to Instagram to say that he had placed a bet of 510,000 (approximately Rs 540.6 crore) on India to beat Pakistan in their T20 World Cup Group A match.
His prediction was correct as India secured a victory by six runs. This win earned him a total prize of 715,000 (approximately 7.57 crore), resulting in a pure profit of 204,000 (approximately 2.12 crore).

This successful bet adds to Drake's impressive sports betting list. Notably, he had earlier placed a bet of $250,000 (approximately Rs 2.07 crore) on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to win the IPL 2024 Final against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). At odds of 1.8, Drake would win $450,000 (approximately Rs 3.73 crore) if KKR emerged victorious. The bet marked Drake's first foray into cricket betting.
Pakistan won the toss and put the men in blue to bat who only managed to set a target of 120 runs. In reply, the Pakistani team managed to muster only 113 runs and lost by 6 wickets.
