The Trinity University Womens Tennis Team is seeking candidates for the Assistant Coach position for the 2024-2025 season. This is a fixed-term position, one year.

We are looking for a candidate who has experience playing or coaching at the collegiate level, has a strong work ethic and is interested in learning to manage all aspects of a top NCAA Division III program.

This is a full-time position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Planning team practices and individual training
• Recruiting potential student-athletes
• Coaching doubles matches and tournaments
• Management of team equipment, such as stringing rackets
• Providing fitness training on and off the field
• Creating social media content
• Mentor a diverse selection of student-athletes
• Analyzing competition and practice videos
• Adhere to all current ITA and NCAA rules and regulations

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2+ years of coaching experience and a proven ability to teach players who compete at a high level. A strong playing background is desirable, but not required. The candidate must be a positive, energetic and reliable leader with strong organizational skills, excellent communication and the ability to work a flexible schedule. Must have a valid driver's license.

Place
Trinity University is located in San Antonio, Texas. It has a population of approximately 2,500 students. There are 12 stadium courts on campus, spread across the two tennis facilities.

Salary
The salary range for this position is approximately $40,000, commensurate with experience. Medical benefits are included. Because this is a fixed-term position, there is no leave accrual.

Additional income opportunities
Multiple additional sources of income include providing tennis lessons/clinics to youth and adults throughout the year. Candidates will also have the flexibility to work around the recruiting calendar at camp during the summer.
