Griffin Palfrey named to the 2024 DI Baseball All-ECAC team
DANBURY, Conn. Columbia Baseball Griffin Palfrey was named to the 2024 DI Baseball All-ECAC Team, the Eastern College Athletic Conference announced Thursday.
Palfrey was a First Team All-Ivy League selection this season as a second baseman and a Second Team All-Ivy League selection as a utility player. The junior captain received this year's Lou Gehrig Co-MVP award and the Mr. Hustle Prize. Palfrey's .380 batting average was team high and ranked third in the Ivy League.
Palfrey scored 49 points, third most in the conference, and finished the season on a 16-game hitting streak. On the mound, Palfrey made 13 appearances and pitched to a 2.25 ERA. On April 29, he was named Ivy League Player of the Week.
Earlier this week, Palfrey earned second-team NCAA Div. I Northeast All-Region honors.
