New Orleans, LA – NEW ORLEANS – The Paralyzed Veterans of America, VA and the Southeast Louisiana Veteran Health Care System will host
NEW ORLEANS – The Paralyzed Veterans of America, VA and the Southeast Louisiana Veteran Health Care System will host the National Veteran Wheelchair Games July 25-30, 2024 at locations in New Orleans, LA. With 629 athletes registered to compete in 23 plus different events in 5 different locations, tracking down interviews can be tricky. However, Team SLVHCS has three athletes ready to be interviewed. Interviews, sports demonstrations and tours of adaptive sports therapy areas will be held here at the Southeast Louisiana Veteran Health Care System Recreational Therapy Gym. Sports showcased at the hospital include basketball, cornhole, football, rugby, table tennis and boccia. Cycling events, bowling and 9-Ball are demonstrations coordinated upon request. All athletes are local to Louisiana and some are previous medalists, while one is a novice athlete new to the NVWG. So, beat the rush and get some of your interviews and B-roll done early and help us spread the word about the NVWG throughout our great city and state.
