What are the requirements to unlock my device?
- The device is designed to be used on and locked to the cricket network
- The device you want to unlock has been active for a fee for at least six months
- An active phone number or device has not been reported as lost, stolen, or any other fraudulent activity
How do I unlock my iPhone?
You can now unlock your iPhone online through the device unlock process.
Unlock device:
- Click on the link for the device unlocking process and follow the initial instructions.
- Scroll down to find the number of the phone you want to unlock.
- Select Request for unlocking.
- For eligible iPhones, you'll see a “Your device is now unlocked” message and a confirmation will be sent to your device. No additional action is required.
- If you meet the eligibility requirements but cannot unlock your device, please contact us at 1-800-CRICKET (274-2538).
How do I unlock my Android device?
Most Android devices must are unlocked using the myCricket app. Follow these steps to unlock your Android device with the myCricket app:
- Open your myCricket app.
- Log out of the app if you are logged in.
- Crane Unlock device on the app login screen.
- Crane Unlock at the bottom of the screen.
- Once your phone is successfully unlocked, restart it to complete the process.
If you are trying to unlock a Android device that is not working via the myCricket app, log in online at www.cricketwireless.com. Follow these steps to request unlocking.
Online:
- Log in, go to Account settings tab and select Get code.
- Scroll down to find the number of the phone you want to unlock.
- Select Request for unlocking.
- The unlock code will be displayed on the screen and sent to your device by SMS. See the next steps below.
I have my Android unlock code. What now?
- Turn off your phone.
- Remove your SIM card and insert a new SIM card from another provider.
- Turn your phone back on.
- Follow the prompts and enter the unlock code.
- Restart your phone to complete the unlocking process.
I am a member of the military and I need to unlock my device. What shall I do?
If you are in the military and need expedited unlocking before deployment, call customer service at 1-800-CRICKET (1-800-274-2538) or call 611 from your Cricket phone. We appreciate your service.
