Penguins Wrap: Quinn Comes Aboard; Dubas outlines strategy
With just one major move by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the past week – hiring an assistant coach – the offseason maneuvers are still largely ahead of them, and the intrigue is mounting.

Tuesday: Word spread that the Penguins hired former San Jose coach David Quinn, a longtime close friend of Penguins coach Mike Sullivan, to replace the fired Todd Reirden on the coaching staff.
Sullivan also gained an assistant on his staff for the 4 Nations Face-Off when Team USA GM Bill Guerin named Minnesota Wild coach John Hynes, a former Penguins minor league coach, as an assistant on Sullivan's U.S. staff. The tournament is next February.
Wednesday: The Penguins make Quinn's appointment official and confirm he will oversee the defense. That means he will be reunited with former Sharks star Erik Karlsson and team up with longtime Penguins star Kris Letang.
