Do the Badgers have a Top 10 high school in college football?
The Wisconsin Badgers are looking to bounce back from a 7-6 season in 2023 as they enter the new Big Ten next year.
In an effort to strengthen the roster, the Badgers looked to the transfer portal to fill their needs, adding players at cornerback, quarterback, linebacker, defensive line and elsewhere.
Now the Badgers have several improved position groups, while also returning some key players.
That said, one of the strongest groups on the roster is the defensive back position, as the Badgers have a number of talented cornerbacks and safeties heading into 2024.
They are led by AP All-American Ricardo Hallman, who led the nation with seven interceptions a season ago, and Hunter Wohler, who was the heartbeat of the defense last year.
Behind them, Wisconsin carried a talented safety room from a season ago while supplementing the cornerback talent with the addition of Toledo transfer RJ Delancy.

PFF CEO Max Chadwick seems to believe that, as the analyst ranked Wisconsin at No. 8 heading into 2024.
Wisconsin's secondary features one of the nation's top 10 safeties (Hunter Wohler) and a top-15 cornerback (Ricardo Hallman). Wohler had the second-best coverage grade among FBS safeties in 2023 and was the second-most valuable safety in the country, according to PFF's wins above average. Hallman was a ball magnet in 2023, capturing the national lead with seven interceptions. That helped him generate just a 37.4 passer rating allowed, which ranked ninth among FBS cornerbacks.
The Badgers also return four defensive backs who played at least 300 snaps last year and added one of the most underrated cornerbacks in the country in Toledos RJ Delancy II from the transfer portal. He was among the nation's top 10 cornerbacks last year in completion percentage allowed, passer rating allowed, yards allowed per coverage snap and open-target rate allowed.
As expected, the returns of both Hallman and Wohler played a major role in the rankings, but Chadwick also noted the experience and depth Wisconsin has at the position, while Delancy should be a good addition to the team this year.
