Clark Fork hosts an annual youth football camp with former NFL and college players
CLARK FORK The Clark Fork High football team will host their second annual youth football camp July 25-28 with a variety of former NFL, college and high school football players on the coaching staff, three of whom are former Wampus Cats.
The camp is open to players in seventh through twelfth grades. A total of five sessions will take place: July 25 and 26 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM; July 27 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.; July 28 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. There is no charge for the camp; donations are accepted and all proceeds will go to the CFHS football program. Athletes must bring shorts, cleats and a water bottle (no helmets or pads).

COACHING STAFF
Ron Heller: A 1981 graduate of Clark Fork High, Heller played tight end, nose guard and linebacker for Oregon State (1981-85) before being signed as an undrafted free agent with the Dallas Cowboys in 1986. Heller went on to play for the Super Bowl XXIII champion 49ers, the Atlanta Falcons and the Seattle Seahawks. During his time at Clark Fork, he was a three-sport standout in football, basketball and track. He was named to All-State teams in both football and basketball and won a state title in the 200-meter dash. He was inducted into the Idaho Athletic Hall of Fame in 2005.
Bob Gagliano: Gagliano played quarterback for Hoover High and then Glendale Community College, where he played with current Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid. He went on to play for United States International University (then NCAA Division I) and Utah State University (NCAA Division I) before being drafted in the 12th round by the Chiefs in the 1981 NFL Draft. Gagliano gained 3,431 yards and 17 touchdown passes during his NFL career, starting for the 49ers, Chargers and Lions at various points in his career. He also played for the USFL's Denver Gold.
Todd Johnson: Johnson, who graduated from Clark Fork High in 1983, played fullback, linebacker and tight end for Eastern Washington University (1983-1987). He was part of the 1985 EWU Hall of Fame team that earned the first-ever Division I-AA playoff bid. Johnson was a team captain and was voted “Most Inspirational Player” by his teammates.
Mason Johnson: A native of Kent, Washington, Johnson earned five letters to Kentlake High, three in football and two in wrestling. In football, he was named First Team All-South Puget Sound League on the offensive and defensive lines in both 2012 and 2013. In 2013, he was also named the SPSL North Offensive Line MVP. Johnson went on to play center for Oregon State University for three years (2014-2016).
Don Heller: Heller is a defensive coordinator for a high school program and graduated from Clark Fork High in 1980.
