Mizzou Football recruiting: Four-star RB Jamarion Morrow is committed
Talk about a Friday afternoon news dump!
Eli Drinkwitz has been on the recruitment market over the past week, gaining commitments from Henry Fenuku and Dyllon Williams. But it's one thing to get a commitment from a guy people expected to come to your school. It's another thing to get a guy no one expected.
Late Friday afternoon, Eli Drinkwitz dropped the baton. There were names flying around the Rock M chat about who it could be. No one floated consensus blue-chip RB/WR Jamarion Morrow, who quickly became the 10th member of the 2025 class.
Tomorrow is one enormous add to the class. He's immediately one of the highest-ranked recruits to commit to Mizzou this cycle: Rivals rate him as Mizzou's second-highest commitment in 2025, while On3 and 247 both have him at No. 3. Morrow is listed as a running back, a receiver, or simply an athlete, depending on which evaluation you follow closest. The one thing all services agree on is that he is a prospect on the rise, someone who will make the Tigers' offense much more dangerous in 2025 and beyond.

I understand that if I say this, people on the internet can blame me forever. But I don't know… I see a lot of Luther Burden III in Morrow's game. It fits wherever you put it in motion, in the slot, on the outside. He has otherworldly explosiveness in the open field. He is an aggressive, direct runner who reads smartly with the ball in his hands. He is fast once separated, and despite his small size, he is very difficult to take down. He even flashes some defensive highlight jumps in his clips.
Holding him to the standard of LB3 would be a fool's errand. But Eli Drinkwitz will have a lot of fun finding ways to get Morrow the ball while he's in the black and gold.
