The Grand Canyon University athletics department is passionate about helping student-athletes achieve their highest levels of excellence. The athletic department uses intercollegiate sports as a platform for developing our student-athletes in the areas of integrity and personal growth.
Grand Canyon University is seeking a graduate assistant to fill an athletic coaching role for men's tennis. Performs recruitment, coaching of sport specific training or performance training and/or other operational tasks necessary to support the athletes. What you will do:
Assists the head coach in all aspects of coaching a Division I intercollegiate program.
Recruiting talented student-athletes.
Coaches practices and games during the season.
General promotion and development of the sports program.
Complies with NCAA rules, university policies and department guidelines.
Assists with team community projects, special events and camps.
Can assist with mentoring or providing instructional coaching to less experienced employees.
What you will need:
Bachelor's degree required
Must be enrolled in the GCU master's program.
Must be able to maintain an academic GPA of 3.0
Must be willing to work outside normal business hours if necessary, which may require traveling with teams as necessary.
