Utah Hockey Club announces its preseason schedule
SALT LAKE CITY The first games are scheduled for the Utah Hockey Club.
The first-year NHL team in Salt Lake City announced its preseason schedule Thursday, with two games played in Utah and six more games played out of state.
On Sunday, September 22, Utah will play its first game in franchise history when it takes on the St. Louis Blues in a preseason game in Des Moines, Iowa.
Utah's first home game and only preseason game at the Delta Center is the next day against the Los Angeles Kings.
That game replaces the previously planned Frozen Fury, which took place between the Kings and Vegas Golden Knights. Those who purchased Frozen Fury tickets will receive a refund and the opportunity to purchase a limited number of tickets for the preseason game in Utah before they are made available to the general public.
Utah will then hit the road for games against the Golden Knights, the Colorado Avalanche, the San Jose Sharks and the Anaheim Ducks.
The Hockey Club's preseason schedule ends Oct. 5 in Utah against the Avalanche at the Maverik Center. A team spokesperson said the game will be played at the West Valley City arena because the Delta Center has a previously scheduled performance.
