Eleven Cardinals named to the Baseball Academic All-MAC team
MUNCIE, Ind. – Eleven Ball State baseball players were named to the Mid-American Conference's 2024 Baseball Academic All-MAC Team on Friday, among a total of 119 student-athletes recognized for their outstanding achievements in both athletics and academics.
The Cardinals, who reached the MAC Championship Game two weeks ago against Western Michigan, placed 12th on last year's Academic All-MAC Team while defeating Kent State to win the MAC tournament. This marks the third year in a row that Ball State has reached the MAC Championship Game and placed at least 11 players on the Academic All-MAC Team.
The Academic All-MAC award is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To be eligible, a student-athlete must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.20 and have competed in at least 50 percent of the competitions for that specific sport. First-year students and any transfers in the first year of residence are not eligible for the award.
