Reports to: Vince Westbrook – Associate Athletic Director, Tennis Director and Head Men's Tennis Coach

Task overview:

The Men's Tennis graduate assistant reports to the assistant and head coach. They are responsible for all operational aspects of the University of Tulsa tennis programs. This position will serve as a positive role model for student-athletes in an optimistic environment that strives for academic and athletic excellence and will build professional relationships with student-athletes, staff, alumni and the public to promote the university and athletics program.

Essential Functions (Responsibilities):

• Assist in planning individual and team tennis training.
• Support the head coach during training and matches.
• Coordinate training and other requests for visiting teams.
• Supports staff for the ITA Men's All-American Championships and the ITA Men Central Regional Tennis Championship.
• Performs related responsibilities as required or assigned by the head tennis coach.

Required qualifications:

Knowledge/skill/ability

• Ability to multitask efficiently in a challenging environment, see projects through to completion and act with a sense of urgency.
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel and familiar with Access, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• A collaborative team player, who can effectively coordinate work with employees, team members and external vendors.
• Great attention to detail, proven practice of setting effective priorities and meeting deadlines.
• Ability to work closely with a diverse group of people.

Equivalent education/experience

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience as a collegiate player.
