Kotowski claims fifth place in the Javelin Final at the US Olympic Trials
EUGENE, Or. Junior James Kotowski (Stoneham, Mass.) of the UMass Lowell men's track and field team took fifth place at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials, recording a personal best and school-best distance of 75.69 meters in the finals.

Kotowski earned his spot in Sunday's final after taking eighth place in the first round Friday afternoon with a score of 71.26 meters on his final throw. On his fourth throw he hit another great goal with a throw of 75.39 meters, before finishing the match in fifth place.
