Former Chicago Blackhawks forward Jeremy Roenick will be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame after a long wait

This year's inductees into the Hockey Hall of Fame include Jeremy Roenick, Pavel Datsyuk, Shea Weber, Natalie Darwitz and Krissy Wendell-Pohl.
CHICAGO– Jeremy Roenick is headed to the Hockey Hall of Fame, ending the wait for the American forward who has been eligible for more than a decade.
Roenick is part of the seven-member class of 2024, the first class with two women's players since 2010. It is the first class with two American women's players in the venue's history: Natalie Darwitz and Krissy Wendell-Pohl.

Two-time Stanley Cup-winning winger Pavel Datsyuk and defenseman Shea Weber were chosen in their first year of eligibility. Long-time directors Colin Campbell and David Poile were chosen in the builders category.
Roenick's 1,216 points with Chicago, Phoenix, Philadelphia, Los Angeles and San Jose rank fourth among all U.S.-born players. He has been eligible since 2012 and has transferred every year since.
